Perhaps our most important duty as a species is to protect the Earth. Our very existence depends on it. There are many things that contribute to harming the planet. The amount of pollution released into the atmosphere is one of those things. I chose this topic because I hope to get an idea about how much of the harmful molecules are being released now, as opposed to several years ago, and determine how this has changed over time.
In the first deliverable, we will be loading in a dataset, tidying the data, and providing plots to how how the data is related, and gain insights about what the data can possibly tell us.
DELIVERABLE 1
In the second deliverable, we will be loading in a second dataset that will help us gain further knowledge about our original dataset. We will then create multiple regression models to determine if our model is a significant predictor of the concentration of harmful molecules in the air.
DELIVERABLE 2
In the third deliverable, we will be revising and improving our first two deliverables to make them both easier to understand as well as more accurate. We will also discuss the details of what our updated model predicts, the level of accuracy of our model, how our model will be incorporated into society, and where this study could potentially go in the future.
